Re: Remote Reboot
harrypk Hello and welcome to the forum. I think you may have misunderstood what was being said about "manual reboot" as this is an option available in the WEB interface when you are logged into the camera. You can select it to perform an immediate reboot as opposed to a scheduled reboot. ...

Re: Can't connect camera to wifi
I just googled "SSID including spaces" and got some interesting results. Connecting to such SSID's is something which seems to have caused lots of people problems. It seems to be a particular problem with Android devices. Are you able to try connecting other than via an Android? It's defin...

Re: Buffalo NAS - AMCREST T1179EW
I have a WD NAS so this may be completely irrelevant to your Buffalo model but when I was experimenting with saving using the NAS option, I discovered that I had to include "/nfs" in front of the remote directory name. Almost as if the NAS firmware needed to be informed of the network prot...

Re: NVR NOT DISPLAYING CAMERAS ON DISK MANAGMENT
In PC-NVR Device Management, select the Home Group and then the cameras in the group should appear. Select them one at a time and then click on the double blue right arrow to transfer them into the selected channel display area. That should do the trick.

Re: IP5M as a Weather Cam - How Does FTP Work?
My problem was I was two levels up and trying to have a path and not just a folder i.e. dir1/dir2/webcamfolder. It can only take a folder name so I created a separate FTP account that is at the dir2 level where a simple folder name will work. I'm not sure what the problem is there. I just did a tes...

Re: 3 second delay/lag ip camera
Hello and welcome to the forum. I occasionally use VLC to capture the RTSP stream from my cameras but I've never considered whether there's any delay. It seems as if, on my system there is a 1 second delay as compared to what I see in the Amcrest Surveillance Pro monitor as shown in this screenshot ...

Re: IP5M as a Weather Cam - How Does FTP Work?
For all my cameras, there is a field "remote directory" in the destination settings for FTP. Do you not see the same? I save snapshots to the FTP server on my NAS to a share named "cameras". When initially setup and tested each camera creates it's own folder within the cameras fo...

Re: IP5M as a Weather Cam - How Does FTP Work?
Hello and welcome to the forum. As far as I know, all Amcrest cameras save snapshots using the time/date as the file name. You will need some sort of external intervention to rename your files to a static name. I created my own app to do exactly what you want to do but I've never achieved full autom...

Re: Change Camera Password?
stevevsix Hello and welcome to the forum. Assuming that you are talking about Amcrest Surveillance Pro, go to "Devices" and select the camera in question by clicking in the tickbox on the left. Now click on the pen icon on the right and that gives you access to the ASP settings for that d...

Re: Add device
Hello and welcome to the forum. To get any meaningful answer, I would suggest that you add some detail to your initial post e.g. what device including model number, what are you adding it to and if this is on a mobile phone for instance is it IOS or Android. How far are you getting, at what point ar...
