I switched one of my cameras from WIFI to wired and DHCP to static IP and now I can't get the camera to show as online in Amcrest View.
I've deleted and re-added the camera and it won't go to online status. I've tried adding the camera through the APP and through the Amcrest View website. P2P is enabled in the setup of the camera in the local HTTP connection to the camera. P2P setup also shows the camera is offline.
All local access to the camera works fine.
Any ideas about getting my camera working on Amcrest View. I have 3 other cameras that are working fine through Amcrest View. The 3 cameras that work through Amcrest View using DHCP to get their IP addresses.
Thanks for your help.
WIFI to Wired and DHCP to Static IP - Now can't online in Amcrest View
Re: WIFI to Wired and DHCP to Static IP - Now can't online in Amcrest View
I think I figured out the problem.
The camera I'm having a problem with was located in a place in my house where the WIFI signal is very weak. I solved that problem by using an Ethernet cable to plug the camera into a Cisco WETN610N bridge that's located where the WIFI signal is strong.
The camera is now shown on the network "behind" the bridge. All of the local functions work correctly, its just the connection to Amcrest View that doesn't work.
So the question now is there anyway to make Amcrest View see the camera that's "behind" the bridge?

Hello mclemens ,
Behind the bridge should be fine but the camera should be allowed external access for it to connect to P2P server and thus be accessible through the Amcrestview.com portal or the phone app.
It could be that the router or firewall is blocking the camera from outbond connections. In such cases you can set up port forwarding in the router to access the camera remotely.

I am currently having the same problem.
Melvin : "It could be that the router or firewall is blocking the camera from outbond connections."
Then why are all the other cameras working?

Tec Support fixed it by going to wireless DHCP first, then going back to wired & static.
