IP2M-841B Settings keep getting lost
IP2M-841B Settings keep getting lost
I have saved the settings, reloaded them, verified that they loaded, and still they have been reset when I come back later. Worst of all, the Setup > Storage > Record Control > Disk Full gets changed from Overwrite to Stop, which means I'm not getting any recordings for days until I discover it. Overwrite is the the default setting!
Re: IP2M-841B Settings keep getting lost
I'm having the exact same issue. It is SO annoying. My camera is upside down, so that means that I keep losing the 180 flip and mirrored image.
We can't possibly be the only 2 persons with this issue! Every time I reboot, I lose the settings also.

Mine is also upside down, yet I'm not losing the flip.
Re: IP2M-841B Settings keep getting lost
Same here - the camera keeps losing it's setings. I will be returning my camera very soon if there is no response here from Amcrest very soon. My review on Amazon also will not be favorable if that happens. What good is a camera if it keeps losing the settings? Very frustrating.
Re: IP2M-841B Settings keep getting lost
BTW - using the latest firmware. When will a new firmware be issued to fix this problem?
Re: IP2M-841B Settings keep getting lost
Hello everyone,
Please keep in mind that when and if your Amcrest ProHD camera is added to Amcrest Cloud, that those settings will over-ride what you are configuring in the back end admin settings panel.
For instance, login to your cloud account, check the settings on your camera by clicking "Edit camera" from the Camera List on the main page, and you'll find that there is an Image Appearance setting. Make sure this is what you want it to be. Chances are, whatever the setting is on the back end panel (the one that keeps reverting against your will) is exactly what will be set in the cloud.
About your overwrite setting reverting, I tried to do some digging but was unable to find anything conclusive.
If you can, please send screenshots of your camera's Record Control settings page, as well as of your cloud settings.
If you haven't already, please also make sure your firmware is up to date by visiting amcrest.com/firmware.
I hope to hear from you soon, and I will also be in touch with any progress I make in figuring this out!

Re: IP2M-841B Settings keep getting lost
Thanks Raheel, this is most likely what was happening. I updated my setting in amcrest cloud ans will see if it now works as expected.
It makes sense that the cloud setting should win, but at the same time, this is not very clear that it would happen as such. Also, changing the setting on the camera should update the cloud, but oh well. As long as this works I'll be happy.

Re: IP2M-841B Settings keep getting lost
The settings that are getting "lost" for me are FPS (frames per second), Bit Rate and the Overlay/Time settings. I checked the Cloud Edit Camera settings and those options are not available in the Cloud settings so they couldn't be getting overlaid from the cloud. I enter the settings, save them and then anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour later they have reverted back to the original settings. Very frustrating!
