NVR NV4116E-HS Adding Qsee cameras?

Post by supremejr »

We use Amcrest NVR NV4116E-HS with 16 channels, of the 16 channels about 8 are using Amcrest cameras while the other 8 channels are connected to older Qsee cameras.

I've added pics so you can see the errors I'm getting on all my Qsee cameras(Can not find the network host. AND System is busy now). 7 cameras (Amcrest and Qsee) are connected straight into the NVR though POE Ethernet cable but only the Amcrest work, none of the QSee work. For the remaining 9 cameras they are connected to a QSee switch where one cable from the switch connects straight to the NVR. Of the 9 cameras from the switch that should work only the 3 Amcrest cameras work, none of the 6 Qsee work.

Not to sure what I'm doing wrong.

If the Qsee are going to work they have to be connected different then the Amcrest Cameras seeing they are not Amcrest. While I didn't look them up i might be wrong but not sure they are even in the same side of CCTV as Amcrest.

So Manufacture would need to be Onvif the TCP Port would be what ever Qsee uses. Then admin and Pass would be what you set them to. I would also make sure they are not Default ones and that you change your IP to same network as the NVR and static as well.

Ok I did look and Qsee is in same type so maybe the 37777 is fine but I am still thinking that the Manufacture needs to be set to Onvif.

Welcome to the Forum

Edit. Looking at the Manual for the Camera Looks like even without being connected to NVR you are ok with the Built in 32gb ram that it can rerecord too. I would if you did not already setup the Camera to record to memory until you can get it connected to a NVR. Just a Thought.
Be Safe.

Suggestions:
Before connecting the Qsee cameras to your NVR or LAN, use Qsee Web UI to make sure cameras are set to DHCP, or use Reset button on the cameras to hopefully set them to DHCP and not Static.
Do not connect the switch to the NVR. Connect the NVR LAN port to your router. Connect switch to router. Add cameras on your LAN to NVR using NVR console. Then change your LAN attached cameras to Static using Qsee Web UI.
