Re: How long is Amcrest warranties good for?
I'm pretty sure it is 1 year providing you bought it from Amcrest or an authorized seller. Whether or not they would cover damage from knocking it over, I couldn't say. I have used Amcrest warranty for a camera that I purchased directly from them and it was a good experience.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're trying with NAS/FTP but I can point you toward Synology support, they have quite a bit of documentation and a forum as well.

Re: IP2M-841 POE Requirement
I think you are looking at "Protocol" "PPPOE" which is not the same as power over ethernet. The camera says "Power" "5v". I can confirm the IP2M-841 is not POE as I connected mine to a Tenda 5-Port Fast Ethernet PoE which claims to be compatible with nearly an...

Re: Un-useable night vision
Although I'm not at my camera now, I believe IR lights can be disabled in the configuration by accessing the camera at it's IP address.

WiFi or wired? I notice issues like ghosting and gitter/freeze when my wifi signal strength or bandwidth suffers.

Re: Your apps suck
+1 Well said. I've been using Amcrest for a few years and its shocking how little development there is and to see the lack of support folks get.

Re: firefox and internet explorer plugins no longer working
I'm not taking any sides here, just trying to learn a bit. I configure my amcrest cameras from home on my LAN, wired and wifi. I use either the Amcrest app (I think it's a chrome application), or chrome browser with the IE-Tab add-on and I've recently discovered Pale Moon browser which seems to work...

Re: Moving camera to a new home/wifi
I'm winging it here but my recommendation is to check your camera's network settings are to see what the LAN IP address is; it might be the same as your wifi IP. Once you move, use an ethernet cable to connect to the camera's settings and then enter your new wifi information. Or if you know what the...

Re: IP2M-841 has line of noise on bottom when rotated 180 degrees in settings
I recently had this. I went away after some "random series of things". Sorry I don't recall what did the trick but atleast I can say I had a similar issue and it went away.
