Re: Loud Fan
Just finished upgrading both fans. The CPU fan is not as loud as oem case fan, but still make some hum. Just used second Noctua fan to replace oem cpu fan . CPU fan is held by 3 small philips head screws (thanks for that). Just cut the fan off the outer shell and mount on square patch of strong 3M d...

Re: Surveillance System Bake Off
Why not to use provided for free "Amcrest Surveillance Pro" Windows App available for download? I read some user review and he was very happy with it.
At glance, it has more settings you can adjust: sensitivity settings (10 levels), something about face recognition and etc.

Re: How to disable unused camera inputs in HD-CVI
The reason to disable unused inputs - I have 8ch, but only going to install 6 cameras, so at least 2 inputs will be vacant. When there is no camera in use - the system will report it very frequently in the logs that it lost feed from those inputs - it would just spam logs, so it is more difficult to...

Re: Loud Fan
Just measured the fan noise level and it registered at 60 db next to the case fan and about 55 db 1 foot away. That is just very loud and has to be addressed with fan replacement. Did anyone replaced CPU fan? I am sure it is as noisy as case fan. I am planning to install Noctua 40x40x10mm on top of ...

How to disable unused camera inputs in HD-CVI
I have 8ch 1080p. Is there any way to disable not used video inputs in the configuration, so HD-CVI system would not log video feed loss or record on those inputs? Actually recording is easy to fix by stopping it in the schedule, but I could not find any way to switch off video input in camera confi...
