Re: IP2M-841/IPM-721/IPM-HX1 (WiFi Only) Firmware Release
Has anyone tried to use the new firmware with an Amcrest NVR? I have an Amcrest Model NV4432 but I think most Amcrest NVR's use the same software. This new firmware is only for the WiFi version of the models listed. Other current non-discontinued devices models will be considered on future updates....

Re: IP4M-1028E pinout
I have an IP4M-1028E that got some water in the RJ45 connector and seems to have shorted the connectors on the female connector. I cleaned up the connectors and got the camera working again, but then it quit a couple days later. I have cut the female connector off the end and wanted to replace it i...

Re: camera goes offline constantly
kkaresz , Thank you for the feedback. Depending on the setup chosen, internet may not be necessary. Please note that without internet you lose all remote capabilities. Our most common connection methods involve using P2P which is why the internet is necessary. However if you choose not to use these ...

Re: POE Issue!
Ok,after using the new Connectors,I was still getting an error on pin #3. I then decided to just get into the attic and trace the wire. I discovered that some how or another the cable had a tear in the sheathing and I could see the broken wire. It could have been because a month or so back,I was in...

Re: HELP: Set up QCAM with Synology Surveillance Station - NOT WORKING
Guma, I am sorry to hear about the issues. Unfortunately, this does seem to be a Synology issue more than Amcrest. Synology will usually reach out to us with integration requests based on the requests the receive from customers. the process mentioned is generally the process taken on all third party...

adambiser, Thank you for the feedback and information. I will pass this along to our R&D team for further evaluation. Also, we do have a JS firmware beta for the 841 model that includes the Gmail fix as well. Please go to the link for this beta. https://amcrest.com/forum/beta-testing-posts-f30/b...

Re: Camera Doesn't Record Anymore
dljone1, I recommend to start by looking at the micro SD Card. Is it being detected by the camera? Has the SD card been pulled out for any reason? First, see if an SD card is being detect and performing a format if it is. The article below will cover the how to format in detail. https://support.amcr...

Re: NVR vs Windows Surveillance Pro advice please
sig, Honestly it will all come down to customer preference. NVR will ultimately consume less power than having to keep a PC on. Ultimately to provide you a better recommendation, we may need to get more information from you. Please feel free to reach out to us at support@amcrest.com. We would be hap...

Re: POE Issue!
Kev7274, In general 4K cameras inherently will put a strain on older cabling or technology like an older router. I recommend using Cat6 or above on 4k and anything above 4MP for the most part. Out of curiosity, On the jack did you use the PoE injector there? Depending on how the network drop was don...
