Re: IP4M-1041W Can't Change Email Password
Some cameras work by design without in different browsers. Some cameras don't. If there is fw newer than 2019 then yes it could be updated in. Some features might be gone after update. In windows best to use Edge in IE mode for best results. I am sure your Mac still has browser you can use with plug...

Re: IP4M-1041W Can't Change Email Password
Awesome glad to hear you got it worked out. It is odd that my main server wouldn't work for me. So thought it was something that was off with this design.. I tested the other server again and it still fails to send. I know the info is good because I added it to another camera different model and wor...

Re: IP4M-1041W Can't Change Email Password
Well having my crazy email server in the v3 works my semi normal email server don't. I don't know if it don't like that it is a .info and it is looking for normal type like .com, .net, .org kind of thing and thinks the .info is bad format? However it does use the extra long email server that some of...

Re: IP4M-1041W Can't Change Email Password
So I don't know what is going on. I just double checked and updated my newest Amcrest camera that also acts like the v3 cameras you are dealing with and only shows 6 * for the password. Even in the WebUI after you setup and leave the page, When you come back to the email page it will only show 6 * b...

Re: IP4M-1041W Can't Change Email Password
However I have found now that in fact my V3 camera won't connect to my current email server either.. Now I am not sure what the issue is. It has been a year since I did any emails from that camera because it is setting behind a NVR on a VLAN so I don't have direct access to the camera normally so I ...

Re: IP4M-1041W Can't Change Email Password
In some of the cameras software that is how it was setup.. Meaning on older cameras it would display the password.. This is a Risk to the end user and so yeah even if you have 12 digits when you log in with App and look it just defaults to the 6* isn't in relation to the password offered... No longe...

Re: Emergency Maintenance setting
I will ask tomorrow Amcrest Tech and see what they come up with. I mean I have some other cameras with same type verbiage related to PTZ reloading the settings after reboot. But that is old Tech hardware so not sure it is related.
