I'm curious about this as well. The best path forward is probably progressive web app. If they keep it Chrome only, then extension might be easier.

You should still be able to access it using good old internet explorer. In fact I think that's the only way since it uses an ActiveX plugin. I don't think there's any newer way to access it outside of maybe using Amcrest Cloud and linking the camera.
