Re: camera goes offline constantly

I am having the same issue. Camera randomly disconnects. I have 2 ash26 floodlight cameras. WiFi signal is strong -46 dbm and -49 dbm. Randomly cuts out. Any suggestions? Return it if you can and get a POE floodlight if they exist. What the consumer market is suffering from is these junk wifi camer...

Re: 8mp HD analog camera better then loads of other IP 8MP cameras

So while so many people trash Amcrest and Dahua along with some others that are within the same line. All the cameras I have tested seem to be secure and is one reason that I have in the past tested out a Direct connection to the internet. I don't do it for long most times under a month and I keep ...

Re: NDAA isn't always everything that it is cracked up to be lol

NDAA compliant is a device that is not made in China, nor have any parts made in China and not connecting to any server in China for any reason.
Currently, about 60% of the NDAA compliant cameras are under scrutiny so just because they claim NDAA compliance doesn't mean that it is.

Re: IP8M-2779EW Non-Amcrest Nvr clive view but not recording

Thanks, I have 6 3dr party cameras on that same NVR that record no issues. I was wondering if there might be a specific setting within the Amcrest Ai camera settings. Live view is working with the NVR and you have video, I would look into the recording settings of the NVR and set the stream to reco...

Re: 8mp HD analog camera better then loads of other IP 8MP cameras

Not sure how that relates but there are a few things that come in to play when you drop the resolution on an Security Camera. In this topic it was related to a 8mp camera that was on a DVR that only support 7fps on a 8mp camera. His camera also 8 mp has high frame rate because it was built into the...

Re: Tool to Resolve S/N to an IP:port Address

I run Amcrest Surveillance Pro on my MacBook Pro but it does NOT provide the same functionality as the WinDoze version. I also run SP under Windows using Parallels for Mac. When I run the Windows version, if you go to the device config area and select a camera, there is an option to connect directl...

Re: 8mp HD analog camera better then loads of other IP 8MP cameras

Some Ip camera's embedded system on chip are not as good as some analog DVRs. That is why typically frame rates are better on IP cameras when you drop resolution. Some datasheets even say they have higher frame rates at lower resolutions.

Re: NDAA isn't always everything that it is cracked up to be lol

Today I don't make any changes to my Face Detection that I have setup on my NVR and PTZ camera that I have setup for emails if there is no Mask being worn and while it was working up to yesterday that has for no good reason not sent any email about that lol. Sure I have some normal Face Detection e...

Re: hourly reboots

I would update the firmware on the rebooting cameras by downloading its firmware from Amcrest. Especially if the auto reboot option was not checked in the maintenance screen. It would at least make sure they are current firmware.

Re: hourly reboots

This is not a POE or wiring problem since I've checked/tested for that, and some of the devices below are powered directly by an injector rather than a switch. The times are all set correctly via NTP. I do not have an Amcrest DVR, and I don't see any attempts by the cameras (networking monitoring v...
