NVR NV4116E-A2 and AXIS 221 cameras
Hi Folks! Well, so far so good with the NVR NV4116E-A2. Some odd monitor display issues, but they seem to work themselves out. MIGHT be the use of the VGA port and older monitor. Not todays issue. I have a bunch (20+) Axis 221 cameras, c2008. Take outs from a former workplace. Work GREAT with ...

Re: Single app for cameras and doorbell?
I understand that I'd still need the smart home app to answer the doorbell "calls", but I don't see a good reason why the AVP2 app shouldn't support the doorbell as a camera. I am not going to buy an Amcrest NVR because of a problem Amcrest created in the first place, but thanks for your ...

Re: IP4M-1051 - why no more?
The AL-P402W is likely a non-starter for me because it needs its own app, and does not seem to be compatible with the Surveillance Pro app. ........ Maybe they are trying to get out of the consumer market? Going through the forum, reading and learning. I googled the AL-P402W, and WOW! $49 from amaz...

Re: Web access of NVR NV4116E-A2
My current working laptop has Win10, and Edge is installed. However, it has the issue on startup I discussed earlier. I have since tried to repair it, and get an 'error 514' trying to do that. :? Unable to uninstall/reinstall. Time to explore other options. Logged onto my old Blue Iris box, Win7, i5...

Re: Web access of NVR NV4116E-A2
AH! Yes. I had read of 'advisements' towards using Edge/IE. Did not realize they were more mandatory! I have not used IE/Edge ever. I did try, but for *unknown reasons* every time I try to start Edge, I get this error: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe The application has ...

Web access of NVR NV4116E-A2
Getting used to my NV4116E-A2. Have an assortment of 10 Amcrest/Reolink cameras going on it now. Lots of learning! On my local network, I can access the NVR using the 192.168.1.250. This allows me to 'work' on things in comfort instead of standing in a small data room upstairs. :ugeek: When working ...

Re: ISO Bullet or Turret style Zoom IP camera with Zoom/Presets
After getting my IP2M-863 AI V2 I am also an optical zoom junkie. Wow. And size matters, I like the fact that it is large, and imposing. We have a fairly large house, so it doesnt look out of place. It is 190 feet (just went out with the roller ruler..) to where the driveway is visible to the house,...

WAY above my current 'pay grade' but a great read none the less. Thanks for sharing all the details.
