You need to get a passive POE splitter fir the camera side and use the power jack. You need to make sure you get the right size mini plug fir the power. Here's an example.

Re: IP2M-841 POE Requirement
For the guys with the "B" model...did you ever get POE working? I tried 2 POE adapters for my "B" model with no luck as well, but I didn't try the passive power injector splitter recommended here (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01464GSE2/_e ... NELN2XOKCN)

Actually, for the cable sets in both of our posts, you use the existing AC adapter and the cables (from Amazon) so the power part plugs into the power port where you normally plug the AC adapter. You're basically extending the power from the AC adapter via CAT5. Sorry about the confusion.

Re: IP2M-841 POE Requirement
The 5.5x2.1 mm injector and splitter kits linked to in this thread do NOT work with the IP2M-841B power cord, nor plug into the camera itself. I've given up trying to get this to run POE
Re: IP2M-841 POE Requirement
I think you are looking at "Protocol" "PPPOE" which is not the same as power over ethernet. The camera says "Power" "5v".
I can confirm the IP2M-841 is not POE as I connected mine to a Tenda 5-Port Fast Ethernet PoE which claims to be compatible with nearly anything and several reviews say the use it with various amcrest models... it killed my camera
I first tried just the ethernet cable which didn't do anything but when I used the splitter which routes the power to the 1.35mm DC jack, that burned up the camera so apparently these tenda are not as smart as some users indicated in the reviews.
