IPM2M-844E Blue Iris Settings
IPM2M-844E Blue Iris Settings
I have been attempting for several days now to set up my Amcrest IP2M-844E to view using Blue Iris software. It was stated in the item description that this camera could be viewed using Blue Iris. However, after exhausting just about every option, I am not pleading with someone to provide me with the required setting to view my camera with Blue Iris. Thank you in advance
Re: IPM2M-844E Blue Iris Settings
I have an older version of Blue Iris and I can't get it to work. The new version is about $60 and it supposedly has the settings in the program. I'm guessing the camera settings are either too much (1080p) for the dedicated security camera card (in which case the $60 on new software won't help) or it won't work with the older Blue Iris software. The other possibility is some sort of networking issue.
Re: IPM2M-844E Blue Iris Settings
Hello ,
You can try the below method to add camera to the older version of Blue Iris.
Step 1: Right click on an empty space on the Blueiris video display interface and select "Add new camera"
Step 2: Select the option IP/Network Device
Step 3: Enter the full address of the system into the "http://" field at the top including the port number if it has a custom HTTP port assigned.
Step 4. Select Make as "Generic" and Model as "RTSP H.264/MJPG/MJPEG4"
Step 5: Copy and paste this address to the Path field: /cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0
Step 6: Make sure the RTSP port of the device is correctly mentioned in the "Media/video/RTSP port". If you want to add the system from remote location make sure the HTTP and the RTSP ports are port forwarded on the router correctly.

Re: IPM2M-844E Blue Iris Settings
Thanks. I'll try that.
Re: IPM2M-844E Blue Iris Settings
The connection string above allows the video feed to be pulled into Blue Iris 3. Great news!!!
My question is regarding PTZ/Control. Will any of the profiles listed in Blue Iris 3 work to control any of the functions of the Amcrest IP2M-841?
Thanks,
Matt

Re: IPM2M-844E Blue Iris Settings
Hello TOONMAN,
Basically the live monitoring and recording functions should work but other control might not work through blue iris.

Re: IPM2M-844E Blue Iris Settings
Thanks, I just wanted to confirm that this is still working to set up the Amcrest IP2m-844E in the latest Blue Iris. All my other Amcrest cameras (different IP2M models) configure with no issue, but this 844E would not and required that I manually enter these settings.Melvin wrote:Hello ,
