Just bought 3 cameras and having the same problem. If Amcrest does not get this figured out soon, and post something, I'm boxing them all back up and sending back to Amazon with very negative reviews.

Hi Dnanew, I've just been speaking to their support. They told me there isn't any problems on their side. I did point out others were having similar problems and reported so on this forum. They suggested I try port-forwarding. I might have a play tonight but not really sure how to do that so I'm hoping they've got a document that covers it.

I have tried port forwarding as well as DDNS. The app will not show a live view.

Jordon77.did they port forward ports 37777 &37779 and then setup on the quickddns servers ? Then on phone app you setup cameras under ip/domain with your camera name that support sets up while setting up quickddns service. This is how they set mine up and it works every time within seconds! For about 2 weeks now. I have 2 cameras and he had to forward 4 ports total the other 2 we're 37775 & 37772 . Don't know how all this stuff works but it's working! Using it this way only works with cell coverage no Wi-Fi on phone.still works with computer at home or away they will tell you how to connect to your cameras if you're at work on a work computer. Also he had to change ports on each camera to the same ports he port forwarded in router.easiest way is to call and let them do it if you don't understand how to do this which I didn't.

Hello,

Currently there is no issue with the P2p servers are it should be working fine. If any of you are facing issues, I think it is something with the settings. Please contact our support if you are facing any issue and we will be more than happy to look into it.

I used different port numbers but forwarded all three ports (http, tcp, udp). Then i tested the port forwarding with my laptop on another network and it worked fine. I was able to connect to all my cameras via DDNS. Now I go to the app and try to set them up un IP/DDNS putting in all the info and the HTTP port info and it doesn't work through the app.

I have removed the app and reinstalled it, factory reset the cameras, and tried it all again. Same result. This is on an iPhone 6s.

jordan this is how they did mine, go into setup then network then connection. mine is tcp-37777 , udp- 37778 , http- 37779 . then under ddns pick quickddns ,give your camera a name under domain name.then under my router the ports he forwarded was ( tcp or udp )37779 , (tcp) 37777 . under your amcrest view app use ip/domain/ddns setup. under device name put whaterver you want , front door , back door . then under address the name you gave camera under domain name plus address. example : dogcam.quickddns.com . then port number for your tcp port. then the password for your camera.

I tried...no luck. I know DDNS on the camera is working though because I can view it outside of my network via my laptop and a browser. Just not through my iphone 6s app.

I also tried P2P again....no bueno.
