You know what, I wanted to see what time the text went away, since I have my camera set to always continuous record. Now, I was expecting the text overlay to disappear between clips, but that's not what happened, it actually disappeared in the middle of a clip. Weird. Either way, please update the firmware to fix the loss of settings.

Add me to the list of customers having this problem. Loose date/time and overlay every several hours on all three of my IP2M-841B. AMCREST Can we expect a fix soon??? :( Thank you.

The problem I have is my resolution keeps changing.

Under Setup->Camera->Video the resolution keeps switching to VGA, I have to go in and change it back to 1080p. I haven't found any kind of trigger for it doing it yet, I just have to keep going in occasionally and checking it.

Really annoying!

I have two of these cameras and they each have their own issues. One has the date issue and keeps getting set back to 1/1/2000 and the other has an issue where it keeps changing video stream parameters for one of the streams. I'm not set up on Amcrest Cloud, so that shouldn't be the problem. Both cameras have the latest firmware.

add me
looses date and time stamp, channel title, and video detection zone --

worst part is I come home today and reviewed 500MB of a shade tree shadow on the ground (exactly in the spot where video detection WAS turned off).... what a complete and total waste, especially since I have a limited data package, now I'll go over my limit YET AGAIN because this camera will not save ANY settings that are put in it!

and btw: THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CLOUD cause I'm not even on the cloud.

and AMCREST apparently just will never do anything to fix this bug

Has anyone tried to call Amcrest support recently to see what their solutions are?

This issue has existed since October 2015 (see first post in this thread) and Amcrest has done nothing about it since then. They basically have decided that it's not worth it to fix the problem no matter how many people have the issue.

add me.
I lose flip and mirror. VERY IMPORTANT SETTINGS TO HAVE! Pretty much useless if the settings won't save. Might have to return it.

Hello xkckyle ,

The flip issue can be fixed by logging into the cloud and editing the camera settings in the cloud to flip the correct way you want. This will affect the camera directly.

I also have this issue and it is beyond frustrating. I use the cloud, I pay for it and want it.

What I don't want, is for it to reset my settings (overlay, bitrate) that are NOT CONTROLLABLE from the cloud.

Either offer that as an option, or do not allow those settings to be overwritten. There are so few camera options available on the cloud versus the camera directly.
