Is anyone else having issues with this?

I have two cams testing this at the moment, I can plug in more if necessary, but the: IP8M-VB2696EW-AI, and the: IP8M-T2669EW-AI are currently having exact same issue.

Have reinstalled app on TWO phones (Androids)

I can see motion detect events in the playback section of the app, I just do not receive push notifications

What I have done to try and fix:

• disabled and re-enabled Push Notifications multiple times
  turned off and back on motion detection in the web interfaces
  uninstalled and reinstalled the app (Amcrest View Pro)
  unplugged router and POE switch
  removed cams and reinstalled
  turned off notifications
  cleared cache and data in Android settings

I am at a loss as to what is going on here, very disturbing.

I also notice that there is a NEW Amcrest View Pro 2 app that is the "recommended" app for this new camera: IP8M-FCT2999EW-AI. I tried this app and although I like it, it is missing a lot of functionality unless a subscription is enabled. I am wondering and hoping that Amcrest is not thinking of moving to this model and removing features because I will be GONE from this platform when that happens.

They stopped working for me, too. The latest event on my list is three days old. There wasn't an obvious category to use, so I submitted a ticket using this link.

Support suggested installing Amcrest View Pro 2. Fixed the issue for me.

I am able to get notifications so far on AVPro 2 but I see no options in there for detecting humans and vehicles, this is very important to have this capability to ward off unwanted motion detect notifications. Hope they add it soon, this will do for the moment.

Wait just found the SMD setting now, will test it out tonight, nice, I didnt' think this app had all this last I checked. I'm not sure if this app is an improvement over last one yet, but let the testing begin.

Until today I was still using the previous version but I have now installed AVP2 and notifications are working again on my system, something I had given up on months ago.
I'm not entirely sure about this but I believe that identifying/notifying vehicle and human motion is dependant on the capabilities of the camera even though they are there in AVP2 settings.

I had the same issue not getting SMD notifications on the original AVP and AVPro 2 works and sends me notifications for SMD. But the odd thing is when I click the notification sent it takes me to a recording from another camera. Even after deleting that clip it still takes me to that clip. I tried on another phone and same thing happens. I have reinstalled the app and it does the same thing again. It's always the first SMD clip that it sends to the phone. It gets stuck going to it, then I have to hit the back button to go to the list then pick the correct clip. Also, there is no setting to have it pull up live view from clicking on the notification like the old app. Just takes you to the clip, the wrong clip...

I had the same experience at first. I think I wasn't really deleting the clip. As I discovered the various event management screens, I kept deleting events until the behavior stopped. How you do that varies: press and hold, swipe, select all, etc. I'm too new with the app to be more specific.

I miss that, too. I think they think the "Live View" button at the bottom of the replay screen covers it.

There is a way to get to the live video from the Notifications it is just not as easy as it was one with the Older AVP..

From the Notifications click on the event in question, it will pull up the event window, then click on the play event and it will start to play what happened and at that point there will be a button at the bottom right that says Live View..

What is missing from the AVP2 is the ability to pick the event type like AVP had with Live View, Image and Video.

Just installed Amcrest View Pro2 and all is well again.
