How I got the app to work externally

After receiving the camera at the weekend I was not able to access it outside of my internal network, I spoke to support yesterday and the below worked for me. I have the 1080p (IP2M-841). The document I followed was the Quick Start Guide:

These are the steps that I went through:
1) Reset camera to factory settings, ensure it has the latest firmware. Uninstall the Amcrest Pro app and reinstall.
2) Using the Quick Start Guide, go through the 'Desktop Access' steps on p.4/5
3) After completing the above, go through the 'P2P Setup' steps on p.6
After the above, it all worked..
