Do I have these ports right for Android access?

Post by rightnitro »

I can't use the android app, just fails to connect. 2 cameras. I'm doing this using my cell phone so it's not internal to my network. I can connect to both cameras just fine using the web browser on a laptop inside my network.

The heading above my Netgear picture for the ports is "external ports" and "internal ports".

What am I missing here? When I try to connect I just get the gray spinning circle and it fails.

My android app works fine when I default all the port settings and disable UPnP. However, if you want to access the cams via https, I've found it necessary to activate port forwarding in the router to the https port. But with https enabled, I've found that viewing on android becomes sluggish. Maybe you need to turn off disable https in the camera?
