TOD Overlay removed, saved, but comes back

Post by bobbrosb »

I have a IP8M-T2599EW-AI-V3 that I have repeatedly configured to remove all of the Video Overlays. However, after a few days, the Time of Day overlay comes back on. I can't seem to have it go away permanently. I always save my changes to the camera, but it still comes back after a few days.

Anyone have any ideas how to make it permanent? I did check and I do have the latest available firmware for this camera.

Hello and Welcome to the Forum.

Do you happen to have the Amcrest Cloud service? IF you do I would double check that the cloud service don't have that option. If it does then you will need to make that change in the Cloud for the camera to keep it off. I am not sure if that is one of the options in the cloud. I just know that back in 2019 or before I was having issues with my one of my cameras changing settings after I would make a change in the WebUI. Come to find out that it was setting not changed in the cloud so it would always change it back. Have not used the cloud since.

Outside of that, I would do a factory reset of the camera and see if that solves the issue. If it don't then you might need to reflash the firmware image again to the device and after the new FW install again do a factory reset of the camera to make sure it flushed out the old code.
Be Safe.
