FINALLY! A good explanation on how SOMETHING on an Amcrest device works!
Tour is very poorly designed, but with your help it now makes perfect sense!

Thanks for taking the time to help us! It's not like you're gonna find help through Amcrest!!

It's CRYSTAL CLEAR that Amcrest doesn't give a FLYING #&!@ about these issues! If they even did a tiny bit this stupid BS wouldn't still be an issue YEARS after!

Sadly I am not sure why you would say that Amcrest don't care? 1 this thread started in 2015 when Amcrest was still new in the game and the First Poster posted about setting up a DVR/NVR Tour that isn't the same thing as a PTZ tour. Problem is that if someone don't ask for something it isn't as easy to explain what or how something works.

So if your having an issue with a DVR/NVR tour that will not stop and is setup in the main menu of the Recorder it will need to be turned off if you don't understand what the function is.. Also I have a few times explained what a Channel tour is not to be confused with what a PTZ camera tour is..

However if you have your Device in a constant loop of your cameras that is a Recorder Camera tour, there will be a icon in the top right corner of the display. You can click on that and it will put a LOCK in it and stop the tour. However you Restart the DVR/NVR the system tour will start again. So if you don't want the tour or if you only want to pause it again it is 2 arrows chasing each other in the top right corner if you can't see it then your Display is set to high for the monitor it is on and will need to connect your Recorder using a D-SUB or you can go to the WebUI and log in and fix the monitor there or the tour there as well meaning if you want to turn it off.. However if it is on and you have your system setup to Reboot every tue at 2am or some other time make sure to know that even if you put the lock on it is only until you take it off or the weekly reboot..

What is the Issue Years later?

I cannot get this to tour how I want it.

Reviving this dead thread because I am at my wits end with this unit and this is the only relatable thread on the subject that I can find online.

I am trying to set up a tour where it cycles through my cameras (loops) full screen. I do NOT want the 4 cam shot, the 8 cam shots, or anything else other than it looping endlessly through all of the cameras full screen. I have tried for hours to make this happens and I can only get it to cycle once and then it goes to the split 4 and the split 8 and another split 8 with some info on the last pane. I tried deleting all of the cameras and adding the ones individually, but it still cycles through my unwanted screens. I have picked "Single Camera View" when setting up and after it cycles through my cameras, it goes to the 4 split and the 2 8 split screens. Return of this unit expires tomorrow, so if I don't figure it out today, it is going back, because my 10 year old one I was upgrading performs this option, but I wanted the higher resolution and updated features of this unit. Can anyone walk me through it, and please do a step-by-step. Thanks and I hope this reaches you in time.
